Bus crash update from police report

From the New Castle police report of the incident, NewCastleNOW.org has learned that the operator of the school bus that crashed on Route 120 on the afternoon of June 19, 2008, was Willie Hill, 85, of Poughkeepsie, New York.  Hill lost control of the vehicle, struck a utility pole, a mailbox at 625 Quaker Road, severed another pole in two, struck another mailbox at 629 Quaker Road, crossed over Quaker and hit a tree at Suzanne Lane, uprooting it.  According to the police report the driver stated, “I stepped on the brakes and it started to accelerate.” No police action is required.
