NCCTV’s website, http://www.ncctv.org/, has been redesigned to incorporate “streaming” video, that is, “on demand” replays of various government, educational and public access shows.

The Reader’s Digest scoping sessions of January 9, 2008, are already available, as are various PTA meetings, Town Board, Zoning Board and Planning Board meetings. Unlike conventional tapes, the streaming video can be navigated to find parts of meetings that are of interest to the viewer. School Board meetings are not yet available in this form.

“We’re not full-fledged yet,” says station manager Carrie Krams, “but the demand is there.” Gradually producers’ work will be encoded as well. The gateway to all these riches is NCCTV’s website, http://www.ncctv.org/.
