Acclaimed as one of America’s outstanding ensembles, the Manhattan-based Cassatt String Quartet has performed throughout North America, Europe and the Far East. This Sunday, May 9, 2010, the sought-after ensemble will perform at 3:00 p.m. at the Chappaqua Library Auditorium for a short concert featuring Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” from String Quartet op. 11 and the Schubert String Quartet #14 in D Minor, “Death and the Maiden.”

What a lovely (and inexpensive!) Mother’s Day present. The concert is free and open to all with a brief reception to follow. A $15 suggested donation at the door goes directly to the artists.  The Chappaqua Chamber Series is presented by The Chappaqua Orchestra in collaboration with the Chappaqua Library.
