Chappaqua Youth Football Association First Annual Meeting

June 18, 2010
by Christine Yeres

The group of football parents and coaches who requested permission from the Rec Commission to take the 4th, 5th and 6th grade recreational football program private will hold a meeting Monday, June 21st, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, in Conference Room A, to approve the bylaws and a league guide as well as elect board members and officers.

Jim Nottingham and Phil Green invite all those who are interested in youth football to attend the meeting.  The group will present its program and budget to the Rec Commission for approval at the Rec Commission’s July 1, 2010 meeting.  “Although rec football has been parent-run for over 50 years, we’re now just taking the step of formalizing the operation,” explained Nottingham.  “So football, like every other sport in town, will be parent-run.”
