U-11 Boys Chappaqua Cheetahs 3, Eastchester Hurricanes 0

The U11B Cheetahs came out on a scorcher of an afternoon against an undefeated but lightly manned Eastchester squad.

The teams played hard in the blazing sun, and midway through the first half, Spencer Fink received a pass back off a corner kick and sent the ball soaring over the keeper’s head and into the back of the net.  The first half ended with the Cheetahs up 1-0.

In the second half, the play continued in its intensity, and on a perfectly placed arching corner kick by George Pazos in his final appearance on a Chappaqua team, Noah Caspar knocked the ball past the goalie to enhance the Cheetahs lead.  Finally, Simon Ludl sent a beauty of a shot soaring into the net off of a nice pass from David Ji, bringing the final score to 3-0 for the Cheetahs.

Harris Klein and Spencer Fink were responsible for the shutout in goal, and Thomas Whalen anchored the defense with his speed and determination, along with strong defensive efforts from Grant McElheny, Robert Silipigni and Max Sauerborn.  It was a spectacular end to a great season.
