Greeley seniors will “Shake, Rattle and Roll” when they Return to the Forbidden Planet on April 15, 16 and 17 to perform their senior musical in the Greeley auditorium. “Goodness, Gracious,” tickets are on sale now, “Great Balls of Fire!”
Take one plot (Shakespeare’s The Tempest), one B-movie (Forbidden Planet), mix in twenty classic rock and roll songs including “Good Vibrations,” “Shake, Rattle ‘n Roll,” “Monster Mash” and “Great Balls of Fire” in a campy sci-fi setting and what have you got?
Return to the Forbidden Planet, the Olivier Award winning, Outer Critics Circle nominated Horace Greeley Class of 2010 senior musical!
The plot follows the crew of a routine survey flight under the command of Captain Tempest. Their spaceship is drawn mysteriously to the planet D’Illyria where mad scientist Doctor Prospero and his lovely daughter Miranda are marooned. So fasten your seat belts, get out your ray guns and get ready for a fantastic voyage in this cosmic musical adventure that is pure fun.
Return to the Forbidden Planet will be performed on Thursday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Horace Greeley High School, 70 Roaring Brook Road, Chappaqua. Tickets are $20 for students and adults, except at the Saturday 2:00 p.m. matinee, when student tickets are $10. To purchase tickets, email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
