NCCTV’s 2nd Annual Short Video/Film Festival 2008

Plus New “Public Service Announcement” Category
October 5, 2007
Last year’s contest culminated in an awards night at the Chappaqua Library, with adult and student winners strutting their stuff on the red carpet and taking the stage to accept the NCee—a New Castle Oscar. Categories include Animation, Documentary and Narrative.

Entries should be submitted by Dec. 15th. Go to www.NCCTV.org for more information.

And it gets even better. The Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps (CVAC) and New Castle CARES are sponsoring a competition for student public service announcements. This category is open to middle school and high school students who want to either produce a PSA on film/ tape or design a poster to raise awareness of the issues faced in confronting drug and alcohol use. Cash prizes underwritten by Northern Westchester Hospital will go to the winners, whose work will be shown on NCCTV and featured in the festival awards ceremony. The deadline for the PSA competition is Dec. 15th . Visit www.chappaquaVAC.org for more details.

Teachers, note!  Also this year, the PTA is sponsoring a new festival category to demonstrate creative video/film use in the classroom. Send us your entries!
