Since 2008, the non-profit Friends of Greeley Theatre ( FGT) has donated funds for many of the components which enhance student theatre. Grants have provided funds for lumber and construction supplies, scenery, lighting and sound equipment.  More specifically, wireless microphones, remote-control lighting and effects, and a track to move scenery , were all funded by FGT. Before FGT, Greeley Theatre relied solely on ticket and ad sales for funding materials and equipment, significantly limiting production ability.

In addition to a fall musical, every year the Greeley Theatre Company brings the community three theatre experiences :a drama, a comedy and SpringFest, a four-day series of student written and directed productions.  Under the expert guidance of Performing Arts Department Chair Christopher Schraufnagel, the Greeley Theatre Company is a wonderful cultural resource for both Horace Greeley High School and the town of New Castle.
