“The nicest thing was that we did what we planned to do,” said Michael Wolfensohn (of Dawn’s Team). “As the last game ended it was dawn.”
Dawn’s Team won five games and lost one in the overnight softball tournament on the Rec Field over Labor Day weekend. “One of the highlights,” said Michael Wolfensohn (of Dawn’s Team), “was when we played a team made up of the Greeley Varsity Soccer players, with a couple of varsity baseball players as well. And we still beat them.”
“We raised $7,000,” Wolfensohn reported, “and three teams have signed up already for next year’s tournament. We had a great time and it was tremendously successful. Quaker Hill was so kind to stay open late. And Pete Zimmerman donated a bat from EZ Sports. It was great. It’s what Dawn would have loved.”
