Saturday, June 18, the King Street Quartet, a jazz group consisting of four Horace Greeley High School musicians, Noah Hyams, Michael Martinez, Jon Nankof and Grant Steinhauer, will perform on the Chappaqua Train Station green at the Chappaqua Farmers Market.

The four musicians have played together for a year, in venues from The Bitter End in New York City to the Crescent City Jazz Festival in New Orleans, performing music of jazz masters Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker and Herbie Hancock, as well as original compositions.

Hyams will attend New York University in the fall to major in jazz studies, while Martinez heads to Oberlin College.

Come on down on Saturday, June 18 to the Chappaqua Farmers Market to support this local high school talent and enjoy their live music, a fine accompaniment to a walk around the community market on a beautiful June morning.  The market opens at 8:30 a.m. and runs till 1:30 p.m., the musicians begin around 10:30. There are cafe tables and chairs for lingering, coffee, and activities for the kids.
