Please donate blood this Saturday! Supplies are at a critically low level after our challenging winter prevented some blood collections. Girl Scouts from Troop 1023 are working with the New York Blood Center to organize a blood drive that will take place on March 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the New Castle Town Hall.
If you are interested in donating, please contact Lori Townsend at (914) 238-6457 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome! You must be at least 16 years or older to donate. Please make sure to bring photo identification to all blood drives. Remember, blood donors save lives.
Please visit www.nybloodcenter.org for more information about giving blood. If you have specific questions about your donor eligibility, call 1-800-688-0900 before donating. There is no substitute for human blood. Blood lasts only 42 days. Your donation now is critically important.
Don’t feel bad if you can’t come to this blood drive. Other local drives are coming soon including the following:
• April 27 - HGHS, 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.
• May 7 - Rotary Pancake Breakfast, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
• May 8 - Temple Beth El
