Greeley Boys Swim Team finish second in Sectionals

The Greeley Boys’ Swim Team swam their way in to a second place finish at Sectionals, beating 24 teams yet finishing just behind Tappan Zee.
To start the meet off, Captain Karl Engemann sang the national anthem. The boys all swam amazing races, and even had a few first place finishes, such as Taegan Clarke’s 100 Butterfly (52.11), Risten Clarke’s 100 Freestyle (47.25), and the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:11.46) which consisted of Alex Smith, Henry Simon, Risten Clarke, and Taegan Clarke.
Other Sectional participants with great swims included: Finalists: Ian Cooper, Christopher Koster, Jared Krosser, Aaron Saccurato, Thomas St. Vincent, Josh Tesser, and Luke Zhou. Prelims: Thai Donenfeld and Jake Rosenbloom.
Congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic undefeated season and to the 6 swimmers who qualified for States: Risten Clarke, Taegan Clarke, Chris Koster, Henry Simon, Alex Smith and Josh Tesser. Good luck to all of the swimmers next month at States.
We would also like to congratulate Risten Clarke, Taegan Clarke and Henry Simon for being named to the All Section Team and Risten Clarke, Taegan Clarke, Chris Koster, Jared Krosser, Aaron Saccurato, Tommy St. Vincent, Henry Simon, Alex Smith and Josh Tesser for being named to the All Conference 3 Team.
