NEW: Guitarist Matt Turk at Chappaqua Farmers Market Saturday

Hastings-on-Hudson resident Matt Turk is a veteran performer who has engaged audiences around the world, both as a hard-rocking bandleader and an acoustic folk troubadour. He performs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, September 24, on the green at the Chappaqua Farmers Market. The market opens at 8:30 a.m.
He is presently scoring a documentary film, just opened for Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead) at Brooklyn Bowl and is in pre-production for his next record. Matt’s recent recording American Preservation, highlights Matt as acoustic folk troubadour, as well as showcasing his growing reputation as a stellar re-interpreter of classic tunes.
American Preservation reached #20 on the folk/dj chart getting spins in more than 30 US States, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. All tracks from the recording were played and Matt’s version of “I’ll Follow the Sun” reached #25 as a single.
Matt Turk serves as resident musician at Congregation B’nai Jeshrun in New York City, and runs the music element of Story Arts at Coachmen Family Center, an arts project for Westchester County homeless children through a grant from the ArtsWestchester, the Frog Rock Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
