Host Families Needed for Fresh Air Fund

Join us and a representative from The Fresh Air Fund Tuesday May 17th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Upstairs Community Hall of the Presbyterian Church of Mt. Kisco, 605 Millwood Road (Rt. 133) in Mt Kisco, to learn how you can become a host family for a week or two this summer to an inner city youth.
Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has provided free summer vacations to more than 1.7 million children from New York City. This summer, The Fund needs more host families to carry on its great tradition of sharing the joys of suburban and small town life. Last year, 50 children came to Westchester and Putnam Counties. We would love to help that number grow and allow more children to experience all of the wonderful things our communities have to offer. Or if you are unable to attend and would like to host a child, please contact Shamell Martin at The Fresh Air Fund at (800)367-0003 ext. 8908 for more information.
PCMK member Mary Jane Karger’s husband, Tom, is the Deputy Executive Director of The Fresh Air Fund. The couple will host a child again this summer and will join us at this meeting.
Jack Lohr is Interim Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco.
