There’s gold in them-thar leaves!

All through the spring and summer, your trees are working to draw minerals and nutrients up from the earth, and storing them in their leaves. When the leaves come down this fall, you can save the time, energy and expense of blowing, bagging and carting this valuable resource off your property by creating your own mulch and fertilizer. It’s easier than you think! On Thursday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m. come to the Chappaqua Library to find out how to do it.
If you’re not mulching on-site, you’re wasting time and money, and carting a valuable resource away from your property!
Learn about how many professional landscapers and homeowners throughout the County are taking advantage of the environmental and economic benefits of on-site leaf shredding and mulching. Methods and equipment requirements will also be explained, and there will be a video-taped demonstration.

“The sooner we start having everyone’s leaves “mulched-in-place” and/or composted on-site, the sooner we can start saving tax dollars and benefit our shared environment by eliminating the senseless trucking of valuable leaf resources into another county or community. It’s a win-win situation.” www.irvingtonny.gov/green
