New, improved town website—with social media links—unveiled, NCMC asks for feedback

Last Tuesday, the creators and managers of the town website, Lyle Anderson and Chris Vaccaro of New Castle Community Media Center, unveiled a new, improved town website.

It includes a page for local merchants, more on-line forms (such as parking) that will save a trip to town hall, a way to inform DPW of problems by email, Nixle sign-up, town board meeting agendas and documents, access to the town code and the ubiquitous Facebook and Twitter icons.

The Recreation and Parks page, according to Anderson the most frequently visited on the current town website, has been made more user-friendly.

Noodle around the new website by clicking HERE. By early next week the new will replace the old entirely.

NCCMC will continue to manage the town’s website.  Anderson is eager to have feedback.  Send comments to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

When did the official town colors become ‘greyscale’? Somebody update the fact that Chapin won and Wolfensohn was not allowed to run.  Hate to be negative as this is a local volunteer effort, but the GUI is drab and not much better than the previous one.  Adding more information and a few social networking buttons does not make for a new updated website.

Consider putting the field status (inclement weather) in a box on the home page.  It would be helpful for people inside and outside of our town.  Thanks!

What is with the 1998 AOL clipart?  I guess you get what you pay for.  Free can be costly.

Don’t you think it about time you folks @ NCN came up with a different picture for your masthead.
