Hurricane Irene set registration back a bit.  But people may still register players.  Tonight, Wednesday and Friday there will be a registration table at the Recreation Field. You can also sign up online by clicking HERE.

The equipment for today - players are to wear cleats, shorts and t-shirts. (Any type of cleats will be fine.)
Wednesday and Friday players are to wear cleat, shorts t-shirts and helmets.

Entering its 60th year of operation and second year as independently run organization, NCYFA provides boys and girls the opportunity to play tackle football.  Yes, that’s right—girls have played in the past and are permitted to join the fun.  You can register online, at town hall or EZ Sports.  The cost is $150.

What makes this football program is unique is that the teams do not play other towns, but play one another constantly.  The idea is to maximize the playing experience for the players. Everyone plays and gains valuable experience and skills.  Many of the current varsity players started their football careers in this program.

The program starts on Monday, September 12th at 6 PM at the Recreation Field.  Anyone interested in more details should visit the website by clicking HERE. On the site, you can register and find contact information for the program.  And you can always call Pete Zimmerman at 238-8023. Hardship funding is available as NCYFA believe everyone should play.  A member of American Youth Football it is dedicated to inclusive fair play, community and the idea that “Football is FUN-damental!”
