With school just a distant memory by now in most children’s minds, the New Castle/Pleasantville Skate Park located at the south end of the Chappaqua Train Station Commuter Parking Lot has extended its hours of operation. The park is open to skaters age five and up, but younger than 10 year must be accompanied by an adult.

The park is open Wednesdays through Fridays from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 noon – 6:00 p.m. Daily admission is $5.00 for New Castle and Pleasantville residents and $7.00 for non-residents. A season pass can be purchased for $50.00 for residents and $85.00 for non-residents.

Skate Park Lessons

Instructors from 2nd Nature Skateboard Shop in Mamaroneck offer skateboarding lessons at the skate park on Saturdays from July 9 through August 13. The beginner class meets from 10:00 – 10:50 a.m. and the advanced beginner class meets from 11:00 – 11:50 a.m.

The classes are limited to 10 students per session and the cost is $110.00 for residents and $130.00 for non-residents.
