Give parents piece of mind while making yourself more knowledgeable and employable this spring break by attending the Red Cross Babysitting Training Camp.

The camp, which will be conducted at the American Red Cross offices at 106 North Broadway in White Plains, meets for four full days, March 29-April 1. The classes are held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Afternoon snack is provided, but all attendees should bring a bag lunch. To register, call 914-946-6500, extension 258. The cost is $150. Students must be between the ages of 11-15.

During the training program, students will learn how to build a babysitting business; understanding infants and children; creating a safe environment; responding to emergencies; bike and helmet safety and stranger awareness. At the conclusion of the training, each participant will receive a babysitting certification; infant/child CPR certification; an American Red Cross t-shirt; a babysitter’s kit and notepad; a participant CD-ROM and manual; and a first aid kit.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact Allison Calvert at 914-946-6500, extension 260.
