Resolution:

    “WHEREAS, the Board of Education for reasons of economy and efficiency, has determined that it is appropriate to abolish certain pedagogical positions in the District;

    THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, the Board of Education hereby abolishes the following positions, effective close of business on June 30, 2010.”

        .8 FTE Foreign Language position at Horace Greeley High School, and

        1.0 FTE Teaching Assistant position at Douglas Grafflin Elementary School.

Resolution:

    “BE IT RESOLVED that, due to increased need in Reading, the Board of Education hereby creates a .4 FTE Reading position. This action results in the creation of a .4 FTE Reading position at Douglas Grafflin Elementary School.”

Resolution:

    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby authorizes the following personnel changes effective July 1, 2010:

        John Alexander - Cleaner at Roaring Brook Elementary School moving to Custodial Worker at Horace Greeley High School.

        Mario Cabrera - Cleaner at Douglas Grafflin Elementary School moving to Custodial Worker at Douglas Grafflin Elementary School.

        Vincent Casino - Cleaner at Roaring Brook Elementary School moving to Custodial Worker at Roaring Brook Elementary School.

        Emilio Santos - Cleaner at Westorchard Elementary School moving to Custodial Worker at Westorchard Elementary School.

    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby amends the position of Gina Barreiros from Cleaner, 22.5 hours per week to Cleaner, 40 hours per week. This position will be divided between the Education Center and Horace Greeley High School.

    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby appoints the individuals listed below as per diem custodial substitutes to be employed on an “as needed” basis, effective June 16, 2010:

    BE IT RESOVLED, that the Board of Education ratifies the Stipulation of Settlement and General Release, dated June 4, 2010, regarding Employee #4174. The Stipulation will be incorporated by reference into the minutes of this meeting.

Leave of Absence:

    Ann Peterson - Teacher Aide at Westorchard Elementary School, has requested 1/2 day leave of absence without pay on the following days: 6/23/10, 6/24/10 and 6/25/10.

    Nicole Aurand - Teacher Aide at Westorchard Elementary School, has requested 1/2 day leave of absence without pay on the following days: 6/23/10, 6/24/10 and 6/25/10.

  4.1 Approve CSE summaries reported to the Board on June 11, 2010.
  4.2 Be it resolved, that, effective July 15, 2010, the Board of Education, in accordance with Board Policy 9040, hereby authorizes the 2010-2011 school year salaries of the nonaligned administrators of the School District who are not represented in collective bargaining units, as recommended by the Superintendent of Schools in a memorandum to the Board of Education dated June 1, 2010. Said memorandum is incorporated by reference in the minutes of this meeting.
  4.3 Be it resolved, that, effective July 1, 2010, the Board of Education hereby authorizes the 2010-2011 school year salary for the Director of Continuing Education as recommended by the Superintendent of Schools in a memorandum to the Board of Education dated June 1, 2010. Said memorandum is incorporated by reference in the minutes of this meeting.
  4.4 Be it resolved, that, effective July 1, 2010, the Board of Education, in accordance with Board Policy 9045, hereby authorizes the 2010-2011 school year salaries of the nonaligned confidential employees of the School District who are not represented in collective bargaining units, as recommended by the Superintendent of Schools in a memorandum to the Board of Education dated June 1, 2010. Said memorandum is incorporated by reference in the minutes of this meeting.
  4.5 Be it resolved, that the Board of Education authorizes the Board President to execute a Release and Agreement regarding Student #601628. Such Release and Agreement is incorporated by reference in the minutes of this meeting.
  4.6 Resolution to declare Blackboard, Inc. as Sole Provider of Blackboard branded products and services.
  4.7 Approve Blackboard License and Service Agreement, for term May 17, 2010 - May 16, 2011 in the amount of $18,600.
  4.8 Approve School World Services Agreement for client website, content control and hosting and maintenance for school year 2010-11 in the amount of $15,144.20.
  4.9 Approve Hewlett Packard Master Lease Purchase Agreement for four years, list attached.
  4.10 Approve Service Agreement with Omni Group (OMNI) for 403(b) third party administrative services reinstated agreement of 2009-10 for 2010-11 school year for $12,969.
  4.11 Approve Food Service ala carte price list for 2010-11.
  4.12 Resolution to extend easement for additional 25 years granted to Town of New Castle, as described in agreement dated July 13, 1960.

    WHEREAS, the Town of New Castle at a regular meeting on June 8, 2010, adopted a resolution extending the easement granted to the Board of Education of Chappaqua Central School District in an agreement dated July 13, 1960, for the full additional term of twenty-five (25) years as provided in Paragraph 10 thereof;

    WHEREAS, that the Chappaqua Central School District extended the easement granted to the Town of New Castle for public parking as described in the agreement dated July 13, 1960, for an additional term of twenty-five (25) years as provided in Paragraph 10 thereof, by resolution dated June 24, 1985;

    IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Chappaqua Central School District hereby extends the easement granted to the Town of New Castle for public parking as described in the agreement dated July 13, 1960, for an additional term of twenty-five (25) years as provided in Paragraph 10 thereof, all in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement.


  4.13 Approve gift to Bell Middle School in the amount of $3,529 for instruments/chairs for music room and resources for reading lounge from Bell PTA.
  4.14 Approve gift to Westorchard Elementary School in the amount of $3,695 for 3 document cameras, 3 projectors, and accessories from Westorchard PTA.
  4.15 Approve gift to Horace Greeley from HG PTA in amount of $1,000 for textbooks to be located at Chappaqua Library, $1,988 for two display cases for art from the Greeley PTA.

  7.5 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education authorizes the transfer of unexpended reserves in the amount of $1,200,000 for the 2007-2008 school year and $2,100,000 for the 2008-09 school year from the Tax Certiorari Reserve Fund to the General Fund, in accordance with the provisions of Section 3651(1-a) of the Education Law.
  7.6 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby appropriates the sum of $2,200,000 from the 2009-2010 unappropriated unexpended fund balance and authorizes the transfer of such monies from the General Fund to the Tax Certiorari Reserve Fund, in accordance with the provisions of Section 3651(1-a) of the Education Law.
  7.7 Resolution for Bid #835 - Printing/Stationary Services

    Be it resolved that the Board of Education rescinds the award made on June 1, 2010 of Bid #835 to Margraphics relating to Item Numbers 22, 50, and 51 contained in the bid specifications, based upon Margraphics correspondence, dated June 5, 2010, advising that they are unable to provide the listed materials.

    Be it further resolved that the Board of Education awards Item Numbers 50 and 51 of Bid #835 to the next lowest responsible bidder, Mount Kisco Printing.
