Next Thursday, June 19, at 7:00 p.m., the board members of New Castle Community Television will meet at the Horace Greeley High School Staff Lounge (follow signs) to discuss last year’s triumphs, including their new website, ncctv.org, and ideas for next year.
Residents are urged to come to the meeting to meet the board and participate in this discussion. NCCTV producers will have the opportunity to meet one another. Refreshments will be served.
NCCTV is entitled to do some crowing at this community meeting. New Castle’s local station has just won the “Hometown Video Award” presented by the Alliance for Community Media for “Best Website for Access Centers.” The non-profit alliance, founded in 1976, represents over 3,000 community access organizations throughout the United States. NCCTV has received alliance awards before, but this is the first for its newly crafted website, which now offers “video on demand” for town, school and community meetings as well as news. Check it out at ncctv.org.
