Good grief: revisiting your assessment

Assessor John McGrory is once again scheduling informal meetings with Residential taxpayers who wish to review their 2010 assessments. The meetings will be held on four Saturdays in April and May from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm as follows:

Saturday, April 17

Saturday, April 24

Saturday, May 8

And Saturday May 15.

In addition, Mr. McGrory has scheduled three Monday afternoons/evening sessions from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Those Monday dates are:

Monday, April 19,

Monday May 3 and

Monday May 10th.

All Appointments are 15 minutes each. Taxpayers should come prepared with documentation to support the current fair market value of their property. Tax payers who own vacant land and commercial property must file an application for Administrative Review with the Board of Assessment Review. Taxpayers can call the Assessor’s office with questions at 238- 4722.
