Gregg Bresner filed his nominating petition with the district clerk this week to be placed on the ballot on May 20, running for one of the two seats on the Board of Education up for election this year.

So far, that brings the number to three candidates vying for two vacancies. The two candidates with the highest number of votes will win. Four days remain until the Monday, April 21, 2008 deadline for filing the petition.  See Still time to run for School Board to download a copy of the petition.

The 40-year old Bresner and his wife, Lisa, have two children who attend Grafflin Elementary School. He is managing director of corporate finance for Plainfield Asset Management in Greenwich, CT.  Bresner attended Great Neck High School in Long Island, studied business and engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s School of Engineering and went on to graduate school in business at Columbia University.
