Help out with Saturday’s Midnight Run organized by Temple Shaaray Tefila.  Chappaqua and Millwood residents are invited to provide help for the homeless at a Midnight Run to New York City on Saturday, December 6.

Volunteers, adults and adults with teenagers, can gather at Temple Shaaray Tefila in Bedford at 6:00 p.m. to sort clothes and make meals. Anyone planning to come on the run should be there by 8:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the preparation, for the run, or for both.

To distribute during the run, the temple is collecting donations of lightly used or new men’s coats, jeans, sneakers, blankets, sleeping bags and backpacks. A collection box for these items is always available at Shaaray Tefila and donations may also be brought to the temple at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.

To make the run, they will need volunteers to drive their own vehicle, preferably a SUV or minivan, to bring volunteers and donations to New York City.

If you can volunteer for all or part of Saturday evening, contact Jeff Levine at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). It’s cold out there and the homeless need help. All volunteers are welcome and any donations will be appreciated!

Temple Shaaray Tefila is located at 89 Baldwin Road, Bedford Corners, New York 10549.  The phone number is 914-666-3133.
