Bridge construction will increase traffic on Roaring Brook Road

Dear Editor,
As a resident of Roaring Brook Road in the area between Route 120 and the
Saw Mill River Parkway, I wanted to express concern on what will undoubtedly be greatly increased traffic flow during the bridge construction.
Roaring Brook Road is very narrow and has several hairpin turns on it in that location.
Although routinely ignored, the posted speed limits are between 15 and 30
mph. In inclement weather, accidents are very common.
Has any consideration been given to increased oversight on Roaring Brook Road by
the New Castle police in order to control speeders, protect pedestrians and
prevent more accidents?
