Letter to the Editor: We can do more to reduce garbage pick ups

Dear Editor,

I think it is a great idea to reduce garbage pick up to one day a week, but
there is more that can be done. The reason I only put my garbage out once
every two or so weeks is: a) I compost, and b) I recycle, delivering
recyclables on my way to work to the collection site two or three times a week.

My suggestion: Have a dumpster for regular garbage at the recycling center.
Many of us would be happy to have no pick up and instead deliver our garbage
when we deliver our recyclables. Let us “opt-out” and save the town still
more money!
