Bobby Herodes Summer Sports Camp - Tuesday, June 29th to Thursday July 1 @ 9:00 am
For youth, ages: 5 - 12. Location: Seven Bridges Middle School. Fun ball is the evolutionary change to Dodge Ball that has made the game faster paced, more exciting, more challenging and all players are engaged throughout the game. Campers can either bring their lunch or purchase pizza at the camp. Register at town hall. Make checks payable to “Bill Woollard”. Fee: $225.
Chappaqua AYSO new summer development program
For ALL AYSO and AYSO EXTRA players. If you are registered for Fall 2010 AYSO play, you are eligible to join the camp, whether you are going to play on an Extra team or not.
YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE AYSO 2010-2011 SEASON TO PARTICIPATE.
The summer training and development program will be conducted by Shawn Podell, who has trained many Chappaqua players and teams over the last few years. Shawn was a 2 year starter for Westfield State College who transferred to Western Connecticut State University in order to join the coaching ranks. He graduated from Western Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Wellness and Exercise Science. Shawn is currently completing his Master’s in physical education at Manhattanville College. He’s energetic and exciting on the field and is the favorite trainer of many of the advanced coaches in Chappaqua. For the last seven years he’s been training Chappaqua AYSO and AYSO Extra boys and girls soccer teams ranging from as young as 5 years old to 17 years old. He also trains travel soccer teams in Bedford.
Players will train at Seven Bridges School on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 – 7:00 pm. There will be eight sessions, starting on June 30 and continuing through August 14. The fee will be $200 for all 8 sessions.
Players at camp or on vacation during parts of this period may drop in to individual sessions. The fee per session will be $30.

Ned Bowen’s All Out Lacrosse Camp July 6-9
Greeley grad Ned Bowen’s All Out Lacrosse Camp comes to New Castle July 6-9, for boys and girls ages 7 to 18, at Seven Bridges Middle School.
Non-Contact Youth Football Camp Arrives!
The New Castle Recreation and Parks Department announces that JF Camps Instructional Non-Contact Offense/Defense Football Camp is coming to New Castle. The 4-day camp will be held July 26 - July 29, 5:30-8:15 pm at Amsterdam Park, 25 Hoags Cross Road in Ossining, NY and is for boys and girls in grades 3-8. The camp is non-contact and is recommended for beginners as well as advanced players interested in learning the fundamentals of both offense and defense. Daily instruction is given in offense/defense including catching, passing, running, blocking and tackling under the guidance of Jerry Flora, Head Football Coach at William Patterson College and Joe Streany, Jr. former Pace University All-Conference Linebacker and professional football player.
Camp Director, Jerry Flora states, “during the past 13 years as President of JF Camps, I have been busy teaching children the fundamentals of football through individual and group work. As a father of a young boy and twins, I understand the importance of nurturing and developing. The work ethic, teaching and skill development that we used for our past campers will continue to be utilized. The formula for success is that we provide individual attention, repetition and team play.”
The camp is open to everyone, residents and non-residents. The camp fee is $185. Touchmasters Summer Soccer Camp Aug. 9-13 at Amsterdam Park
The camp will take place at Amsterdam Park. This one week Soccer Camp specifically geared to teach the Touchmaster system which has worked successfully in the Town of New Castle for over 17 years. This camp is for youth ages 6- 15 years old (boys & girls), from Monday, August 9 - Friday, August 13. The camp will run from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm (for 6- 8 year olds) and from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm (9-15 year olds). The fee for youth ages 6-8 is $200 and for ages 9-15 is $285.
