Two book discussion programs, one with parents, one without—and there’s still time to sign up
October 23, 2009
Both the Parent-Child Book Discussion and Young Critics Book Discussion groups at the Chappaqua Library still have some space for additional participants. The Parent-Child group, a “yack & snack” activity, is for children in 3rd and 4th grade and their parents. The Young Critics group is for students in grades 4, 5 and 6.
For their next meeting, on Sunday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m., the Parent-Child group will have read Babe, the Gallant Pig, by Dick King-Smith. This is the book upon which the movie “Babe” is based.
The Young Critics group’s next meeting is on Monday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. They will have read the fourth book in the ultra-popular “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” series by Jeff Kinney.
Each of these groups meets once a month, so if you can’t come to the November meetings, you might want to sign up for the December ones. Call the Chappaqua Library Children’s Room at 238.4779x3 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
