UPDATE: March 15, 2010
Sani-Pro was to have begun curbside pickup of tree and brush debris on March 31, but has added a pickup this Wednesday, March 17. If you’re eager to dispense with the sad remains of your damaged trees, get it together in time for this pickup. The town tidies up its right-of-way, but owners are responsible for private property.
If you intend to put tree debris curbside for Sani-Pro pickup on March 17 and 31, brush must be packaged according to Sani-Pro’s specifications:
• Brush must be cut to a maximum of 4 feet in length and tied in bundles that weigh no more than 60 pounds. Brush and tree limbs over 5 inches in diameter, loose branches and other material will not be picked up.
Other options for disposing of tree and brush debris:
• Bring it to the Recycling Center in your own vehicle (proof of residency required)
• Hire a private contractor to remove it.
