The end piece to the center pier is poured and set. Crews are still working to finish anchoring the steel sheeting to the earth beneath the bridge on its south side. Once the anchors are secure, the mound of earth against the pilings will finally be dug out and forms will be set up to form the remainder of the retaining wall that begins near Citibank. The rectangular forms are sitting stacked on the bridge sidewalk now.

Eventually, the space between the retaining wall and the parallel, slightly shorter planter wall will be filled with earth and planted with shrubs and trees. Soon the planter wall façade will be faced with stone. Conti Construction will set up a sample section of wall showing the stone face in advance.

The last section of steel sheeting, once anchored, will then catch up to the other sections with continuations of the parallel concrete walls
