As of Thursday, April 8, two candidates have filed petitions with Theresa Markley, the school district clerk, to be put on the ballot as candidates for the two seats on the board of the Chappaqua Central School District to be vacated at the end of this school year by Jay Shapiro and Jeffrey Mester. Those two candidates are Amy Ansehl and Randall Katchis.

In addition, current board President Jeffrey Mester announced Thursday, April 8, that he will run for re-election. As with those three candidates, Nona Ullman has also been reported out of the Citizens’ Non-Partisan Candidate Committee as qualified and confirmed that she, too, will be running.

Eleanor Friedman has filed a petition to run for the one seat open on the library board.

Additional candidates may obtain petitions from district clerk Markley and submit them through 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2010.
