Gabby Rosenfeld speaks at Chappaqua Rotary Monday lunch at Kittlehouse; kids’ activities at library; Tuesday town board and planning board meetings; the July 3 Millwood Task Force meeting has been postponed to July 10 at 8:00pm at Fire Station #2 on Route 134.

Luncheon and Speaker: Chappaqua Rotary Luncheon at 12:15 p.m. at Crabtree’s Kittle House. Past President Gabby Rosenfeld will introduce his new television series, “They Were Our Neighbors,” based on stories of interesting people who now live or have lived in Chappaqua. Gabby wrote, “This will be a first time talk on a deceased local citizen named Col. Bernt Balchin, a world famous Arctic and Antarctic flyer and explorer whom I was lucky enough to know here in Chappaqua. Aside from being world famous, he had a fascinating and highly controversial relationship with Adm. Richard E. Byrd. Tuesday, July 1
Children’s Short Films: “Bugs, Bugs, Bugs!” will be shown at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Chappaqua Library. This program is suitable for all ages with an adult. No pre-registration is required. Between 30-45 minutes of screening the finest in children’s books for children accompanied by an adult.
Children’s games: The New Castle Historical Society will host a program at the Chappaqua Library of historical games for children in kindergarten through accompanied by an adult at 7 p.m. Registration is recommended as space is limited; call the library at 238-4779 and ask for the Children’s Room.

Kids and Dance: Hip-Hop at the Chappaqua Library for grades kindergarten through second at 3 p.m. Tracey Jackson, will teach your children all the cool moves. Children should wear sneakers; no sandals allowed. Registration at the library or online is recommended, as space is limited. Discussion: Dr. Sarita Paten’s “Science of Breath Seminar” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. at the Chappaqua Library. She will discuss techniques to clear the mind, restore mental focus and promote better sleep at night. This program is free and open to the public
