At 8:30 a.m. an officer on patrol reported a great deal of water coming from the sidewalk in front of One South Greeley Avenue—the office building across the street from Starbucks—the result of a break in the pipe connecting the water main to the office building.  Water filled the basement to the ten-foot mark and had climbed up the stairwell to within two feet of the ground floor lobby.  Chief Russell Maitland reported that the Chappaqua Fire Department pumped between 50,000 to 75,000 gallons of water from the space over four hours.
