This weekend, Flour and Sun Bakery in Pleasantville will celebrate its first birthday. And, surprise, as Westchester’s first and only cupcake bakery, they’re giving away cupcakes to celebrate. And that’s not all . . .
All weekend long, starting today, the first 25 people to arrive at the bakery, which is located at 19 Washington Avenue, will receive a sweet treat. On Friday, when the bakery opens at 11:00 a.m., they will receive a free bag of homemade caramel popcorn; on Saturday, when it opens at 10:00 a.m., they will receive a pair of chocolate truffles; and on Sunday, again at 10:00 a.m. they will receive that promised free mini cupcake!
During the three days of celebration there will be raffles and giveaways and special treats for children, so everyone could win something! For Twitter and Facebook followers, they will be announcing special deals throughout the weekend.
“We are taking this weekend to recognize and celebrate our first birthday as well as to thank our customers and supporters,” said Denise Treco, owner and founder of Flour and Sun Bakery. “And just to be sure we are choosing our customers’ favorite flavors, our weekend menu will be based on feedback from fans and followers on Facebook and Twitter.”
Flour and Sun Bakery’s cupcake menu features over 50 flavors of cupcakes, including Red Velvet, Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Macaroon, Rocky Road, Chocolate Mint, Carrot, Pistachio, Tiramisu, Hazelnut Nutella, Cookie Monster. They only make mini cupcakes on Tuesdays, but they can be special ordered at any time.
The store hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Sundays, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. And on Mondays the baker rests. The phone number of the store is 914-495-3232 and its web site is flourandsunbakery.com.
