No Farms, No Food/No Farmers, No Food—a panel discussion featuring local farmers; Sunday, March 28, 2010, 3 p.m. - St. Matthew’s Church, Bedford Village

The fourth talk in a series sponsored by the Westchester Land Trust, “Food, Land, Sustainability: Five cutting edge lectures about the environment, the way we live today, and the way we’ll need to live in the future.”

The lecture is free and is open to the public (although there is a suggested donation of $15, to support Westchester Land Trust’s land preservation work).

    Westchester Land Trust is a not-for-profit based in Bedford Hills. Founded in 1988, the organization has helped protect almost 6,900 acres in 28 communities.

    Projects the land trust worked on include the acquisition of the 200-acre Taxter Ridge Preserve, in Greenburgh; Neperan Park and Gracemere Park, in Tarrytown; and the Wildwood property, in Irvington.
