Women’s Research and Education Fund
The Women’s Research and Education Fund (WREF) was established in 1989 as a not for profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, based in Westchester County for the purpose of educating women. It promotes equality and justice for all women in education, the workplace, the home, and in society. WREF works to eliminate gender discrimination.
Westchester County Office for Women
The Westchester County Office for Women is dedicated to working for equal rights for women and the recognition of the full worth of all women. We address the needs of women and families in Westchester County on three levels: public policy and advocacy, public education and research, and direct services. Services include: Infomation and referral through the Family Helpline/Hotline; short-term counseling services; Operation Talent Bank; domestic violence prevention, education and training; and sexual harassment prevention training and education. The Office for Women chairs the Domestic Violence Council.
