If keeping your life green and achieving energy efficiency are goals for 2013, a short cut to success is offered Saturday in Bedford Hills. Efficient, Green and Healthy: New Year’s Resolutions for Your Home will be the theme of an open house and presentation on February 2 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Brenner Builders, 362 Adams Street.

The program, presented by Energize Bedford, Brenner Builders’ Healthy Home Energy and Consulting, Inc., and Wittus Fire by Design, and will take a look at the challenges and opportunities that homeowners face in making and keeping their homes energy efficient and chat with you about how to proceed.

The program will feature short presentations by Energize Bedford’s Energy Coach Norm Jen, Brenner Builders and Healthy Home CEO Kevin Brenner, and Wittus President Niels Wittus.

Attendees will have an opportunity to sign up for a free energy audit of their homes. Hot cider and doughnuts provided by the Mt. Kisco Farmers’ Market will also be on hand to warm up visitors.

“Working with the community to show how home owners can save money and help the environment is a major part of our mission,” stated Healthy Home’s Kevin Brenner.

The combination of Energize Bedford , Healthy Home and Wittus and will offer several different perspectives on the subject of green tech and energy efficiency: Energize Bedford is a community-based energy efficiency program funded through Department of Energy (DOE) and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) grants.  Healthy Home Energy & Consulting is a nationally certified, full-service home energy audit and energy efficient improvement company.  And Wittus, located in Pound Ridge, is a leading importer and developer of products that bring the latest in energy-efficiency to the traditional stove heater..
