Congrats to all the NC Spring coaches!  I assume there are no parent coaches on the list??

There should be NO nepotism/favoritism or potential for it, period in our high school sports programs.  There are presently two high school basketball coaches that are parents AND who have children in the school system.

The CCSD Board of Ed must change their policy NOW. Hire faculty within the school system (current choice #1), Hire faculty from another school system (current choice #2), Hire a parent (current choice #3).  #3 should not be a choice.  How about hiring a non-faculty professional coach as choice #3?

There are no checks and balances that the Board or the Athletic Director can implement to provide a fully transparent and foolproof system of integrity for our kids.

Please act now in order to remove the two parent basketball coaches and eliminate the potential for any other parent coach to coach in our system.
