The fifth annual Greeley Football Walkathon in support of the Making Headway Foundation will take place on Sunday, October 16, 2011, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Horace Greeley High School track.

Making Headway is a charity dedicated to providing supportive care to children with brain and spinal cord tumors, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Making Headway does this through the many programs it funds at the New York University Medical Center to make the hospital stay more comfortable; through its Ongoing Care Program, which supports the children and their families after they leave the hospital; and through its funding of medical research for a cure. Making Headway’s goal is to help ease the emotional pain and suffering children and their families face.

Greeley football players, family members, and friends will join together at the high school to walk the track on October 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We invite members of the community to stop by, walk a lap with us, and make a donation to Making Headway!
