TUES & THURS: Recruiting season for Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps Youth Corps

Info Sessions on Tue. Feb. 11 and Thu. Feb. 13

by Warren Hart

If you’ve ever had a visit from the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps, you may have noticed a high school student as part of the crew. The CVAC Youth Corps is made up of 22 juniors and seniors who help on calls and who help keep the ambulances ready to respond. It’s a great opportunity for students to grow, build skills, and help their community.

We are starting the process of recruiting the next group of Youth Corps members. We will have Information Sessions for prospective members and their parents at 8:00 p.m.on Tuesday 2/11 and Thursday 2/13. These will be at the Ambulance building at 233 North Greeley Ave (past the Post Office). We will cover the roles and responsibilities of Youth Corps members and the application process. Our preference is applicants who are current Sophomores but some current Juniors may be accepted as well.
